Yes, we have a lot to be thankful for. Even though we only take one day of the year to really celebrate this concept as a community, it’s important that we do. It keeps us humble, reminds us of what we do have without worrying about what we don’t have, and it may even spark an act of kindness toward those with less than us. Oh, and it’s an excuse to eat, nap, and watch football; not that we don’t find time to do that anyway. But hey, this isn’t supposed to make you feel bad. It’s Thanksgiving, I’m not going to lecture you. I won’t even judge you if you trample a small child in the stores at midnight tonight trying to get your greedy little paws on a slightly discounted iPad.
What I am going to do is say THANK YOU from Justin and myself. Thank you for reading these words, watching our videos, signing up for our newsletter, and simply showing interest in what we’re doing. We’re going through a ton of life-altering changes right now and it’s easy to lose sight of the big picture by getting caught up in the trivial things that don’t go as planned. Thank you for the kind words and encouragement; these remind us that we’re not totally crazy for doing what we’re doing and we hope that what we share with you along the way is equally encouraging to you and your life as well.
So have a Happy Thanksgiving and enjoy yourself with those around you. Don’t forget to have an extra helping of turkey (or whatever you crazy vegetarians eat), a cold beer, and unbutton your pants as you kick back and watch some dudes smack the crap out of each other over a ball.
And again, THANK YOU for coming along for the ride.
