My favorite artists are the ones that pay attention to detail. Vast landscapes are great, but the mark of a great craftsman is going above and beyond what’s expected by adding more to the scene.
Such is the case at The Grotto in Cullman, AL. Brother Joseph, the artist responsible for the small town’s grandest attraction, spared no effort when it comes to wow-ing onlookers as they walk through his garden of art pieces.
My favorite part of The Grotto lies on the sidewalk near the end of the loop. Right when you think you’ve seen all the sculptures, you almost stumble over this stripe on the walkway. What good is a garden without a proper chipmunk crossing? Brother Joseph, you craftsman, you….
