People like Tanner are tough to find. Thankfully, we’ve known him for as long as I can remember. He and Justin grew up together and over the years he’s become part of our family. In addition to being an incredibly gifted writer and spoken word poet, he can put a smile on the saddest of faces and is always willing to provide insightful thoughts whenever you’re in a rut.
This photo depicts Tanner’s character perfectly. As Justin and I took an afternoon to film a project for Consider the Wldflwrs, he worked patiently, looking up periodically to provide comic relief as needed. We were his ride home since we were crashing with him at his new place in Nashville, TN. Although his current living situation is humble, he took us in with open arms and showed us the southern hospitality we’ve been missing. He recently moved to Music City in pursuit of something more. The thought of uprooting from a comfortable job, friends, and lifestyle still gives me chills but he’s made the change at about the same time as we have, and I couldn’t be more excited for him. The destination is not yet clear but his hard work and faith are sure to lead him to big things. We’re just thankful he still hangs around us.
